1. Inhibit
Means: Resist(Hinder) 
Means: Rokna (in Hindi)
E.g: Vitamin C *inhibits* the synthesis of a molecule essential for baterial survival. 


2. Spike 
To increase (sharply) like numbers etc.  
E.g: Now hepatitis figures show infection *spike*. 


3. Dupe 
Deceive 
E.g: We are cautious of *duping*. 


4. Glib 
(of words or a speaker) fluent but insincere
Example: Be aware of the people with *glib* talk.   


5. Captivate 
Attract 
E.g: We are *captivated* by anything beautiful like peacock etc. 
 

6. Single out
Means: Choose 
Means: to choose one person or thing from among a group because they are better, worse etc. 
E.g: O' Sullivan *singled out* world snooker chairman for special criticism.  


7. Outlast 
Means: to continue to exist or be effective for a longer time than something else
E.g: MS Dhoni *outlasted* his rival team.
